Domain Registrar

Hello Disroot!

Njalla (https://njal.la) is a service provider for domain registration, VPS and VPN. It is run by folks of IPredator (https://ipredator.se) and The Pirate Bay (https://thepiratebay.org/).

Since it is run my internet activists (like us) and share similar goals to Disroot, I was wondering if Disroot’s domain can be transferred to Njalla (https://njal.la)?

Regards,
RG.

We’re not actually a domain name registration service, we’re a customer to these. We sit in between the domain name registration service and you, actng as a privacy shield.

When you purchase a domain name through Njalla, we own it for you. However, the agreement between us grants you full usage rights to the domain. Whenever you want to, you can transfer the ownership to yourself or some other party.

And if they went bankcruptcy, the domain would be gone with them as the ownership of the domain cannot be proven. As Disroot doesn’t attempt to stay anonymous, I don’t think transferring there would be a good idea, unless you have heavier reasons for Njalla?

We have our domain with small activist rooted registrar also and we feel good with it. It’s also local (Amsterdam based) which is even better because we support our local folks.

Agreed!

Makes sense!
