EMail client for android

Hi is there any privacy focused email client for android except k9 mail (including K9 material and K-@mail) for disroot ?
I’m using k9 mail for months i tried all the forks to, but they are not good enough.

HI.
I am using K9 myself (on Lineage OS) and I am interested in why it is good enough.
Interested in alternatives too, if privacy is not taken care of in K9.

Was wondering the same. In fact I’m hoping for k9 equivalent for desktop.

You can use thunderbird on desktop.

Is aquamail safe to use?
They don’t collect data it’s in their Privacy policy.

I can’t use thunderbird. Ever since i started using K9 I realised how much i dont like thunfderbird :stuck_out_tongue:

Atm I use Geary. Its lacking a lot fo features still (unified mailbox, gpg support) but I like its minimalist aproach.

You can find some clients here:

I would really like a client like thunderbird for mobile.
K9 mail is very irritating for me

If i understand you correcly now, it is not because of lack of privacy in K9 you are looking for alternatives?
But because K9 is “irritating”. Lack of usability?

Yes You’re right and the best i can find is K-@t mail which is discontinued. Do you have any other alternative?

I looked at aquamail’s privacy policy and that looks good (at least better than other popular alternatives), still I would stick to K9Mail.

I think i’ll give it a try.
Did u tried K-@t mail ?
It is based on K9. You should try it.

I read their Privacy Policy (http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=1878)

Some Main Points:

  1. Not cloud based (Messages are stored on your device only)
  2. it works “the traditional way”, like Thunderbird or Outlook.
3.It does not collect any personal or user sensitive information or share it with any third parties.

I’m switching to it without any second thoughts.
Thank You

I am good with K9 Mail, what are you searching for exactly? A good interface? or privacy focused mail client?

Their privacy policy looks good but their free version has some limitations, look into them before switching. K9 is open source, has no ads, also no limitations. It is entirely free and you can be sure that not a bit of your data is sent to anyone.

Looks like not upgrading to pro makes this app very crippled:

advantages of using Aqua Mail Pro include:

● Push mail for Exchange (corporate email) in the Pro version
● Supports more than two accounts;
● Supports per-account identities (aliases);
● Removes the promo signature linking to this site to all outgoing messages.
● Ad-free

I think giving 9 bucks to k9 project would be more beneficial.

Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity.

You are right :joy: XD

So i tried aqua mail free and i really like the app.
I also test it with https://www.emailprivacytester.com/
And the results were same as Thunder bird mail client.
So I am switching to aqua mail now.

You can also use adblocker to remove ads in aquamail:

Sorry, I use Android seldom and for my use, K9 is very good.

One more thing is there anyway to get email notification when someone reply at my comment on forum.

It’s Okay I found Aqua Mail

You should get it automatically, if not then check this URL and adjust your preferences:

Check if your username is entered correctly in the url.

About Aqua Mail

I ran aqua mail on a VM and it doesn’t look like they are focused on privacy at all, it is a commercial product.

I don’t see any reason to use aqua over k9, k9 has more feautres than aqua mail. If you are looking for design over functionality then try k9 material (discontinued). Your wish.
