Hey all!So far I've been using feedly for my daily RSS feed (quite a lot of sites and blogs). But now it somehow doesn't feel right, provided I care for my privacy. So here I am asking for other recommendations. Some info: I'm running linux and using newsboat, but I'd like some other alternatives to check out as well. I'd like to have sync between main machine/desktop and mobile phone. I'm all ears (or eyes in this case).
Doesn't Nextcloud do RSS feeds? It appears to, I have it setup on my disroot instance here. What I can't figure out is how to connect to it from my desktop reader. Any clues on that?
Depends what is the OS you are running. For example if you run Linux/Gnome you can do it via News apphttps://howto.disroot.org/en/nextcloud/sync-with-your-cloud/linux/gnome-desktop-integration#news
There is also a list of clients for various platforms that support syncing with Nextcloud's News:
Sheesh, wonder why my search terms couldn't find these links! My foo can't be that bad .... Thanks @muppeth !
I was going to say, damn that's only for a specific app 'feed reader', and was looking to have the connection syntax only so I could use my favourite reader. But, then I tried 'feed reader' and I like it!
I quite like https://tt-rss.org/ -- hosting it online, so I can log into it from anywhere, but you can also just install it locally.
